POWER HOUSE CHURCH INTERNSHIP

PHCI is the internship branch of PHC that trains graduated college students to be ministers of the kingdom in their workplace and as house church leaders.  We believe that the kingdom of God can reach into every corner of society as individual believers step into their callings and are sent. How will this happen? Through healthy reproducing churches full of disciple-makers.

MOTIVE

The workplace needs Jesus. Men and women who would never step into a church building are spending hours every day at their jobs where someone could bring them the truth of Jesus Christ.

Yet how can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

WHY ME?​

God has been doing a work on college campuses around the globe, through discipleship communities who will fight for their fellow students to know Jesus. Some of us at PHC have even been a part of these ministries before our house church days! For you disciple-makers on the campus, life-on-life discipleship and small group gatherings have already become a part of your blood (and ours too!). Therefore, a house church setting is sometimes exactly what graduating students need to thrive! Additionally, the skill set of a campus disciple-maker is an excellent foundation to build upon to become a house church leader. The tools in your hands are not meant to stay stagnant.

What God has done in you, he wants to do through you.

That said, we have recognized some of the inherent challenges of transitioning out of college and into the workplace...new job, off-campus ministry, new location or church, finding a missional family...​

...we see this challenge and we intend to help you meet it head on and grow through it...

PHCI is a 9-month training program in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania to equip you in:

•  

  transitioning your discipleship skills from the campus to your workplace

   

• ​learning skills to lead a house church with a team

• connecting with the team and resources of the PHC network to be effective and ready

• deepening identity in Christ

• building habits and community to stay strong with the Lord in the next season

• training in biblical foundations and ministry

• serving on a house church leadership team in central Pennsylvania

• ​

  individual discipleship throughout the program
